

Lachman Issardas Keswani of Fairfax, VA, passed away on March 26, 2021 at the age of 87. He was the beloved husband of Mira with whom he shared 56 years of marriage. Known as Lachu, he was born in Hyderbad, Sindh on July 7, 1933 to the late Issardas and Haribhai Keswani. He went to school in Pune, India and emigrated to Hong Kong at a young age. It was there that he met his wife, Mira (Attia Ilahi).
Lachu moved to the United States in 1967 and was the proprietor of Hong Kong Custom Tailors in Tysons Corner Center. In 1978, he opened Saville of London in the Mazza Gallerie. He retired from retail in 1998 but continued working with private clients.
A religious man, Lachu was known for giving his blessings to all. He selflessly dedicated his life to the well-being of his immediate and extended family. He is remembered by friends and family as a kind-hearted gentleman that loved to have fun and bring everyone together.
Lachu is preceded in death by his siblings Bhagwandas Keswani, Gopi Nainani, Pari Aldasani, Mona Melwani, and Devi Chatani. He is survived by his wife Mira, his children: Kavita and Satish Nagrani, Jaishree Bettinger, and Parkash Keswani; his grandchildren: Nicole Bettinger, Brandon Bettinger, Samina Nagrani, and Sitara Nagrani; and his siblings: Lal Keswani, Doulat Keswani, Savita Chatlani, and other extended family.
Lachu was one of a kind and will be cherished and missed by all.
Funeral services will be held at 10am on Tuesday March 30, 2021. Due to COVID-19 restrictions on gatherings, in person attendance at the funeral is restricted to family only.
