Linda visited my college and recruited me (and a few classmates) to join her in DC and launch our careers. She kicked started my professional life and I will forever be thankful for that important chapter she played a huge role in. The lunches at her favorite Family Restaurant, her shoes clanking in the hall at work, and that laugh. RIP Linda. You made so many core memories for so many.

Where do I start.?.. I met Linda as a customer of my Home Improvements Company.  I worked for her parents on Churchill Road and then after that for her.  I knew immediately,  however,  that we would become friends.  
    She was always finding something else for me to do at her house or for one of her friends.  I can't tell you the number of jobs she passed on to me...but many, including her son and daughter in law.  
   Linda never made me feel,  just like the contractor.  I was invited on many occasions to have a cup of coffee when I did something for her, or a glass of wine and an occasional dinner... 
   Our talks included politics,  movies,  mutual friends,  religion, and sporting events.  We shared a Love for Baseball, especially Nationals Baseball. 
   She reached out to me when my mother died and my wife,  just to see how I was doing. She was kind, funny,  caring,  down to earth and most of all my friend.  I will miss seeing her smiling face and that infectious laugh.  RIP Linda 🙏 💕

Linda was more than a supervisor, she was a female leader, a mentor, a friend and a guiding light. Her guidance, wisdom and unwavering support helped me in my career. I will never forget Linda nor her unforgettable laugh.

I was very sorry to hear of Linda's passing. She was a genuinely good person who made work a better place with her sense of humor and positive attitude.  I know she'll be missed by all who knew her.

Linda was a great neighbor, friend and pillar of our community. She had a great laugh and such a dry, bright wit. She was tremendously kind to us and also to our dog Charlie who loved his times down in her apartment being cared for by “Aunty Linda.”  We will miss you, Linda. Rest in peace, dear one.

My heart goes out to Linda’s partner Dave, and all of Linda’s family, work colleagues, and friends. I had the real privilege of working with Dave for 37 years and with Linda for 20 years until her retirement in 2004. In the mid-1990s I was fortunate to work directly with Linda for two years in a small production unit that she managed. In a sea of cubicles full of busy people, Linda was a ray of sunshine. I will always remember her common sense, funny comments, frequent smile, and easy laugh—and the memories of her always brighten my day. I also related with her because we both came to this area from the upper Midwest. Linda was a key player in building and managing a large group of talented individuals who greatly benefited from her initiative, hard work, and friendship. We are all very fortunate to have known her. Dave, your colleagues/friends are here for you.

Our heart-felt sympathy to Dave, Ryan, and all Linda’s family at her passing.  Both Bruce and I knew Linda as both a colleague and a friend.  She always had a smile on her face, a friendly greeting, a great sense of humor, and a distinctive laugh—we’ll never forget that laugh.

I've been thinking hard about how to fit into a white square box enough text to describe my workplace ... and occasional sports games ... interactions with Linda. I truly believe she got the most she could out of life. I had heard once that she always knew what she was going to wear to work the night before, laying out her outfits ahead of time; a great lesson for us all in time management. She had a bounce to her step in the agency hallways and a unique laugh that I have not heard since and would love to hear again. It's strange that I only now learned she was born in Iowa. She knew where all of us at work were born and where we went to college. She was that human. My deepest sympathies to Dave and her family and friends. I have little white space left in this box but Linda taught us too about the value of white space in a graphic. She taught us a lot. May she rest in peace. Joanne Richcreek

I want to express my sincere condolences to Dave, Ryan, and the entire family. Linda was a very supportive boss, a great mentor, and a dear friend. When I first started work, she provided her wisdom and guidance as a natural mentor, and continued to do so for many years to come. I was only one of a host of people who benefited from her generosity over her long career. She will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her.

Linda was my neighbor and friend for many years.  We shared a lot of laughs together over many of the fabulous happy hours she hosted in her home. She was so funny, smart, caring, honest and insightful, all qualities that I find invaluable in a great friend. Her courage in battling her illness inspired me in her last months. I will miss her forever.

Dear Linda introduced me to the wineries of Virginia. Of course, after our first visit she guided our little group to the most beautiful wineries as our friendship held fast to what we enjoyed so much which was spending time together. Linda changed my life by hiring me as part of her team.  She gave me a chance in my thirties for a job and career that changed my life through her support and leadership.  I speak for countless others who she mentored, advised and later sometimes  befriended. 
The world was a better place with her quick wit, level headed insight and great intelligence.  She was admired by family and friends and was a patriot in decades of contributions in support of the security of the nation
She will be missed but always part of my heart.
