On May 1st, 1954, she married her husband, Kenneth Curtis from Birmingham, Alabama, a mechanical engineer and an Army veteran who served in WWII and Korea. After getting married, Marion & Kenny started a family and bought a house in McLean, Virginia. On May 15th, 1960 she gave birth to her first child, Mary Virginia (Ginny) Curtis. Her second child, William Kenneth Curtis, was born four years later on November 11th, 1964. In 1986, her husband of 32 years passed away. She has spent the last 30 years living life by God, taking trips to her home in Colonial Beach, Virginia, caring for and helping raise her three grandchildren, Jeremy Curtis, Jessica Healy, and Javin Cole, and spending time with her siblings, who all lived in the area.
Marion was a strong willed, hard working, compassionate, determined woman. You may have heard her say "I know what I know." and "I want what I want." She left this earth as sharp as a tack and made sure her family was at peace and taken care of.
