Beloved wife of the late Robert J. O’Donnell, M.D., daughter of the late Rear Adm. John Joseph Mahoney, U.S.N. (Ret.) and Helen Slattery Mahoney; sister to the late Helen Byrne and Ann Middleton. Devoted mother to Mary Lane Grisley (James) of Salt Lake City, Utah; Robert Eugene O’Donnell (Deborah) of Arlington; Margaret O’Donnell of Falls Church; John Joseph O’Donnell (Lynn) of Camillus, New York; the late Helen Tharpe (Robert) of Laurel, MD; William F. O’Donnell (Gloria) of Herndon; Joanne Woods (Thomas) of Annandale; Terrence O’Donnell of Leesburg; and Catherine Hood (Gregory) of McLean. Doting grandmother to Lars Grisley, Helen McNally, Colleen Grisley, Michael O’Donnell, William F. O’Donnell, Christopher O’Donnell, Robert O’Donnell, Caroline Woods, Theresa Woods, James Woods, William P. O’Donnell, John Joseph O’Donnell, Annelise Hood, Noah Hood, as well as three great-grandchildren: Patrick McNally, Mette McNally, and Annabelle Grisley.

Visitation is Sunday, November 4, 2012, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, at Murphy’s Falls Church Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Monday, November 5, 2012, at 1:00 pm, at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 1910 North Randolph, Arlington, VA 22207. Interment at Arlington Cemetery at a later date.
