

Born February 19, 1934 in Charlottesville, Virginia to the late David Solomon Boger and Margaret Rhoades Boger, Mr. Boger was a real estate investor, entrepreneur, and restaurant owner. Graduating as 1st Sergeant from Augusta Military Academy, Fort Defiance, Virginia in 1953, he served a Korean tour of duty and was Private First Class in the United States Army from 1954-1956. His education continued at American University and NOVA. He was a member of McLean Bible Church of Virginia and Port Orange Christian Church of Florida.
Mr. Boger managed Jackson Hollow, near Haymarket, Virginia, owned Holiday Point Marina, Selby, Maryland, both the Corsican Restaurant (now The Bottom Line), Washington, D.C. and the Epicurean Restaurant, Arlington, Virginia, and was the first concessionaire with The Breakwater at Leesylvania State Park, Woodbridge. He conceptualized, located and acquired 46+ acres of property in Culpepper, Virginia to found Camp Page, a Christian children's summer camp, now under the auspices of Children's Bible Ministries of Virginia. Dan's final project, still under development at the time of his death, was an animated movie to educate children about the Book of Revelation.
Survivors include three siblings: Reverend David R. Boger of Staunton, Virginia, Jane Boger Daugherty of Vina, California and Douglas J. Boger of Warrenton, Virginia, and six children, Cathy Jo Boger-Barnes-Blasco and husband, John of Orlando, Florida, Kelly Boger of Port Orange, Florida, Michelle "Mickey" Boger-Wolfgang and husband, Dennis of Pennsylvania, Michale D. Boger and wife Kim of Florida, Dan L. Boger and wide, Sharon of North Bethesda, Maryland, and Benjamin Boger of Virginia; and four grandchildren, all from Florida: Douglas A. Barnes and John R. "Rusty" Blascsakevics, Bethany Boger and Lindsey Boger.
Formal interment service to be held April 26, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. at National Memorial Park, 7482 Lee Highway, Falls Church, Virginia 22042, with a Celebration of Life gathering to follow.
