

Nyesha Trenae Walden-Hatcher was a loving daughter, devoted mother, cherished family member, and dear friend whose life touched everyone who knew her. She was truly one of a kind, known for her beautiful spirit, infectious laughter, and unforgettable smile that could melt anyone’s heart.
Nyesha’s journey home to be with the Lord reunites her with her beloved mother, Tracey Walden; her grandparents, Robert W. Hawkins (Skinny) and Brenda Walden; her Aunt Ivye Hawkins (2003); her Aunt Annie (Stevia) O’Lee-Martin (August 10, 2019); her Aunt Deborah D. Martin (March 2020); and her Aunt Sheila L. Martin (October 28, 2020).
A proud product of the District of Columbia Public School System, Nyesha attended Ballou High School, where she discovered and nurtured her talent for art. She had a creative spirit and loved to sketch during her free time. Nyesha worked at Moruss Seafood and later in customer service at Dollar Tree, where her warm personality and caring nature shined through.
Nyesha was a praying woman with a deep love for life. Her favorite place to be was around water. She loved swimming and found peace and happiness there. She enjoyed playing card games with family and friends and cherished spending quality time with loved ones, whether skating, visiting amusement parks, or simply being together.
She will be remembered most for her joyful laughter, her remarkable and distinguished tattoos, and her loving soul. Nyesha loved watching the ID channel and enjoyed her favorite foods, especially Aunt Deb’s pasta salad, macaroni, crab, shrimp and tuna salad, BBQ ribs, and strawberry cake with white icing. She also loved Aunt Sheila’s fried fish with homemade sauce and homemade spaghetti. Never far from her jolly ranchers and lip gloss, Nyesha, lovingly known as “babygirl”, was also famous for her love of pickles and salt-and-vinegar chips.
Above all, Nyesha was a devoted and loving mother. She leaves to cherish her memory her beloved daughter, Miley Marie Walden-Hatcher, who was the center of her world.
She is also survived by her father, Mitchell Hatcher (Veronica Hatcher) , & her sisters, Iesha Bond (Esha) ,Dreonna Zeigler (Pinky) & Samaiya Hatcher her aunts Vaconia Hatcher, April Langley, Nicole Hawkins, Mi’chelle Hawkins-Bunnett of San Diego, CA, and Barbara A. Martin, all of Washington, DC, her uncle Harvey L. Martin Jr. (Diane) of Fort Washington,Uncle Tony Martin of Maryland; her cherished cousins Leah Thorpe, Randall Martin, Eriq Martin, Coeco Martin, Kelvin Martin, Patricia Martin, D’Angelo,Quinta, Shantel , Tyron and Varonica; her Godmother Gerald (Ursula); her God-sister Yana; and a host of extended family and friends who loved her deeply.
