OLGA M. REISS Olga Havell Reiss died peacefully on June 30, 2012 at her home in Fairfax, VA. She was born on September 9, 1927 in Washington, DC, the beloved daughter of Charles and Olga Havell of McLean, VA. Olga attended Western High School in Washington, DC and graduated from George Washington University in 1950 with a bachelor's degree in Education. Upon graduating from college she married Robert S. Reiss of Arlington, VA. In 1955 the Reiss family established Fairfax Brewster School, a private K - 6 elementary school in Baileys Crossroads, VA. Olga was involved in the administration of the school from 1955 to 1987. Olga was a long time member and past president of The Womens Club of Falls Church and The Sixty Carrots tap dancing group in Arlington, VA. She and her husband traveled extensively all over the world and had many excellent adventures together. Olga was an attractive, lively, warm, and caring person with a ready smile for everyone. She was predeceased by her husband Robert in 2006. She will be greatly missed by her daughter and son in law, Janet and Kurt Johnson, her grandson, Karl Johnson, her honorary sister and care giver, Helen Garrison, and all of her extended family members and dear friends. She truly lived a full and happy life and is no doubt, "tap dancing with the angels" in heaven. There will be a viewing for family and friends on Wednesday, July 4 at National Funeral Home, 7482 Lee Highway, Falls Church, VA from 2 to 4 p.m. and a funeral service and burial on July 5 at National Funeral Home 11 a.m.
