Patricia A. Windsor

Pat was born in 1933 in Bon Air Heights, MD, the daughter of the late William and Elva Windsor. She graduated from Fairfax High School in 1949. Pat retired from the United States Government in 1990 after 33 years of service with the last 21 of those years being with the United States Marshals Service.

Pat was an avid Washington Redskins, Senators and Nationals fan. She enjoyed bowling, traveling both within the United States and Europe, and going to the beach. Her greatest enjoyment came from the time she spent with her granddaughters, Shenley and Kierney.

Pat was preceded in death by her parents William and Elva Windsor, her longtime companion Col. Zane V. Kortum, US Army, Ret., and many dear friends and family members. She is survived by daughter Valerie Lee Ater (Malcolm) of Shepherdstown, WV., granddaughters, Shenley Ross of Alexandria, VA and Kierney Pescevic of Parker, CO, and great-grandchildren, William Tanner IV of Alexandria, VA and Azlynn and Emery Pescevic of Parker, CO.

A graveside service will be held at National Memorial Park in Falls Church, VA on March 20, 2024 at 3:00pm. In lieu of flowers the family asks that you consider donating to the Hospice of Panhandle, Inc., Kearneysville, WV or to the Alzheimer’s Association.
