

Peggy was born in Alexandria, Virginia to William R. Willison and Bette J. Willison on February 15, 1949. She attended public schools in Fairfax County, graduating from Thomas Jefferson High School. She matriculated at Alderson Broaddus College in Philippi, West Virginia, earning a degree in nursing. She later received a Master’s Degree in Counseling from George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia.
She dedicated her life to helping others in the community. She held a variety of nursing positions, including as a traveling public health nurse, as well as staffing doctors’ offices, hospitals, and mental health clinics. Peggy will be remembered for her kindness, thoroughness, humor and spirituality to all those she served.
Peggy had no children. She is survived by her two brothers, James R. Willison and Jeffrey A. Willison.
A graveside ceremony will be held at National Memorial Park on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, at 2:00 pm.
The family wishes to express its gratitude to the many wonderful and skilled employees at Goodwin Hospice who helped guide and care for Peggy on her journey. Peggy will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
