Husband for 54 years of Helen M. Alvarado and brother of Hilda Wiggins; son of the late Mr. & Mrs. Alvarado.
Mr. Alvarado retired, as a supervisor, from the National Institute of Health after 30 years of service. He was an avid bowler.
The family will welcome friends from 2 to 4 & 6 to 8 on Monday, December 28, 2015 at Murphy Funeral Home, 1102 W. Broad Street, Falls Church, Va. A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 29th at 11 a.m. at St. John the Beloved Catholic Church, 6420 Linway Terrace, McLean, Va. Burial to follow at Columbia Gardens Cemetery, Arlington.
