Richard M. Fisher

Of Annandale, VA, was received into God's hands on March 5, 2012. Richard is survived by his loving wife of 71 years, Gertrude "Trudy" and his children, Jean Fisher (Danny), Nancy LeDoux, Rosemarie Flynn (Rob) and Bernadine Doyle (Richard). He was the loving grandfather to Maria, Jean Pierre, Chuck, David and Mark, and his great-grandchildren, Evan and Kara. Richard will also be missed by many other relatives and friends. Richard was a proud member of the Epicurean Society, The American Culinary Federation, The National Capital Chefs Association, and the Knights of Columbus. His name was entered into the Congressional Record for his 25 years of work with underprivileged children in the District of Columbia. Richard's artistry was integral in his life from cooking, to his drawings and paintings and his model train layouts. He was an avid collector of stamps and coins. During his culinary career, he traveled the globe and the United States many times over. Friends may call at the Everly Funeral Home, 10565 Main Street, Fairfax, VA 22030 on Sunday, March 11, 2012 from 1 till 3 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Saint Michael Parish, 7401 Saint Michael Lane, Annandale, VA on Monday, March 12 at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow at National Memorial Park, Falls Church, VA.
