Rick passed away suddenly and is survived by his parents, Don and Eva Foote, sister, Karin Terry, Ex wife Holly Foote, children, Amber, Nicholas, and Nick Foote, step children Maurice and Joaquin Leon, and grandchildren Aiden Foote and Bianca Nicholas. Rick learned to be a construction engineer for commercial buildings in his early twenties and worked for Miller & Long and Baker until he passed away. He was recognized by his former and current regional supervisor as the top engineer at Baker in the Washington, D.C./ Baltimore region. When he was with family or friends in a car in Washington, D.C., he would proudly point out “That’s my building!” when they drove by. Rick was a very caring person for those he thought were in need and he spent ten years coaching soccer teams that his two step sons were on. He was well liked by all the players.
The Funeral service will be held at Murphy Funeral Home, 1102 W. Broad St. Falls Church, VA 22046 at 11 AM, Saturday, February 18th, 2017.
