

Richard A. Stevens, Sr. of Lake Ridge, formerly of Annandale, VA, passed away on January 26, 2015. Dick was a devoted husband and loving father. He was a trusted businessman and a mentor to many. He owned his own business, Dick Stevens Chevrolet, for 18 years and worked in the automotive business for over 40 years. His beloved wife Sally J. Stevens preceded him in death. He is survived by his sister Ruby Smith; his children Richard Andrew Stevens, Jr. (wife Bev), Russell P. Stevens (wife Joyce), Mark E. Stevens, and Cherie L. Miller (husband Kenneth); his grandchildren Rochelle Stevens Clements (husband Mike), Ryan Stevens, Tyler Stevens, Aaron Miller and Robert Miller and great-grandson Logan Clements. Dick was born in Pittsburgh, PA, to Mr. and Mrs. Russell E. Stevens. He moved for a short while to South Bend, IN, and then settled in Annandale, VA, in the 60s. Dick and Sally Stevens were known for their generous spirits, kind heartedness and hospitality in their community. They embraced life and diversity and enjoyed travelling and gathering their family and friends together to celebrate and enjoy life. The family thanks everyone for all the shared laughs, memories, good times and support. A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 31, at 10:30 a.m., at Westminster at Lake Ridge, 12191 Clipper Drive, Lake Ridge, VA. Interment will follow at National Memorial Park; 7482 Lee Hwy; Falls Church, VA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association or the American Cancer Society.
