Rindy Dowdy was born in Fairfax, VA to George Conklin and Virginia Conklin on May 3, 1958. She went to school in Falls Church Where she graduated from Falls Church High School.
She worked as an Administrative Assistant to the Senior Pastor for Capital Baptist Church for 25 Years.
She was involved in Capital Baptist Church’s Choir, where she led the choir in services and special occasions.
Rindy is survived by Her sons Matthew Jenkins and James Dowdy Jr.

A visitation will be held at Capital Baptist Church, 3504 Gallows Rd, Annandale, VA 22003, US, on May 28, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, followed by a funeral service at the same location from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm.
A committal service will take place at National Funeral Home, 7482 Lee Highway, Falls Church, VA 22042, US, on May 28, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm.
