Rita Jean Brocato

BROCATO, Rita Jean, age 87, of Springfield, VA, formerly of Falls Church, VA passed away on Sunday, July 8, 2018. Beloved wife of the late Joseph A. Brocato; Loving mother of John Brocato (Mary), Roxane Brocato (Frank), Mike Brocato (Karen) and Bill Brocato (Liz); she was preceded in death by a daughter Terry Vondruska and is the cherished grandmother of eleven grandchildren. A native of Terre Haute, IN, she moved to Arlington as a teenager and graduated from Washington&Lee High School where she was a member of Tau Beta Phi sorority. She worked as a secretary at Falls Church High School until her retirement in 1996. During retirement she traveled extensively with her network of friends. A visitation will be held on Sunday, July 15, 2018 from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM at Murphy Funeral Home, 1102 W. Broad St., Falls Church, VA. Mass of Christian Burial will follow Monday, July 16, 2018 at 10:30 AM at St. Philip Catholic Church, 7506 St. Philip's Ct., Falls Church, VA. Interment Quantico National Cemetery.
