
She was born to Paul and Bernice Cunningham on May 12, 1916, in Charleston, WV.
She moved to Washington DC where she met her future husband, John E. Binns in junior high school. They married in 1933. They celebrated 67 years together.
She worked for thirty years at The American Red Cross headquarters where she handled payroll for the entire Pacific Coast.
Before moving to Charlottesville, VA to live with her granddaughter, she lived in Arlington, Virginia and Sarasota, Florida.
She was a wise and feisty woman who took great joy in her family. She loved the mountains, animals, politics, a big breakfast, old movies, and chocolates.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John E. Binns, sisters, Mary Battista and Rachel Donahue, her son, Paul Binns, and grandson, Patrick Binns.
She is remembered with love by her granddaughter, Virginia Binns Yount and her husband, Sam; great grandchildren, Austin Yount and his wife, Noelle, Spencer Yount and John Binns; great-great granddaughter Alexis Yount; and daughter in law, Odette Binns. A Funeral Service will be held Friday July 15, 1:00 at National Funeral Home. 7482 Lee Highway Falls Church, VA 22042. Burial will immediately follow at National Memorial Park. Arrangements under the direction of National Funeral Home, Falls Church, VA.
