Ruth Elaine Bosley

Ruth Elaine Bosley born in Durham, North Carolina to Theodore R. Gilmore and Edna Farrow Gilmore, Ruth was the fourth of five children, The family moved form North Carolina to Maryland and then to Falls Church, Virginia/ Ruth graduated from Falls Church High School and was voted "Outstanding Female Athlete" of her graduating class in 1956. Her siblings are Shirley Gilmore Jojokian, Theodore and Daniel Gilmore. She was preceded in death by her sister Linda Gilmore. While working at the Pentagon, Ruth met R.C. Bosley, who was stationed at Ft. Myer, on a blind date. They were married November 25, 1959. Their daughter Arnette Linn was born in 1961 and their son Brian Keith in 1963. Ruth loved art, painting, traveling, Jeffrey Archer novels, history, musicals, dancing, water aerobics, yard selling, thrift and consignment stores, and shopping anywhere and everywhere. She loved playing bridge, dominoes and cards with family and friends. Ruth loved gatherings of her church family, high school classmates, friends, and family groups. One of her great pleasures was being with her grandchildren- Lauren Alise and Joshua Keith, the pride and joy of her life. They painted, hunted for whales, had tea parties, made crafts, swam and played cards. Ruth kept them constantly laughing and loving. Ruth is survived by her husband if 54 years, R.C. Bosley, her daughter Annette, son and daughter in law- Brian and Lisa, grandchildren- Lauren and Josh, brothers Ted and Daniel Gilmore, sister and brother in law- Shirley and Al Jojokian, brother in law and sister in law, Geneva and Billy Smith, and Nukool Bosley and Clarence, her beloved cat. Ruth had 12 nephews and nieces and numerous other relatives.
