Michelle, Tristan and the rest of Sebastian's family,

Please accept my deep condolences for your loss.  I had the pleasure and privilege of practicing law with Sebastian at Google, specifically working on Covid matters.   Aside from his significant legal skills on full display during that unprecedented project, I most enjoyed his kind heart to all and joyous love of adventure and his family.  We talked about you all often during our frequent meetings, and we became friends.  He proudly shared pictures of you all on vacation, and of course pictures of Tristan.  I was sorry when he decided to leave the company but was thrilled he was pursuing something so in line with his passions.

Sebastian will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Sebastian was am amazing human. Full stop. He always went above and beyond for everyone around him. His mentorship and friendship has meant so much to me in the years I've known him. I can't imagine what his loved ones are going through and I am so sorry for their loss. If he could have impacted my life so much in a few years, I can't imagine the loss his family must feel. We were coworkers, but I always counted him as a friend. I am grateful to have known him.

I am so sorry for your loss. I met Seb when I was looking to go in house over 10 years ago and he was so helpful and supportive. Not only to me, but to my sister who he ended up working at Google with him. He had a heart of gold and always made time for those in need. He will be dearly missed but I know his memory will live on.

Sabu’s impact on this earth and in the community will forever remain. He was a humble leader willing to always help and he truly lived life to the fullest. Along with his sister, Swapna, and parents, Kuriachan & Saly, he paved the path for so many people including my family and kids. Attending Sabu’s graduation from Calvert Hall, where he was Valedictorian, will always be a core memory for me. He spoke so eloquently even at such a young age. Sabu was always willing to guide and was such a source of pride for all of us. Even after moving to Seattle, he would regularly send me updates of his adventures with the family. He loved being a father and would talk about all the beautiful aspirations he had for Tristan especially sports-related. Last time we saw Sabu, we enjoyed a beautiful dinner at his house, watched the sunset over the water from his deck, and got to see a small taste of the wonderful life he, Michelle, Tristan, Arlo, and (late) Simba had built over there. We are so deeply saddened by his unexpected passing but his presence will always remain in our hearts 🙏🏽

Kendra met Sebastian as a summer associate at Miles & Stockbridge when he was already an attorney there.  We  moved to Seattle after law school and when he took a job out there, he reached out, and we became PNW buddies with him and Michelle (and of course Simba). Sebastian was the whole package - smart, funny, interesting, caring, always up for an adventure. He loved the mountains. He loved his family. He loved doing interesting work. We no longer lived in the same city when Tristan was born, but we visited and got to see them together. We are so thankful for that - Sebastian’s love for his son was beautiful, and it was no surprise to see he was an amazing dad.  Sebastian’s passing is heartbreaking - he brought so much to this world. He will be deeply missed. Michelle & Tristan, our hearts are with you. May Sebastian’s memory be a blessing. To say that we were shocked by the news of Sabu’s passing is not enough. Even today we are in disbelief. The children, Ammini, and I were reminiscing over our shared memories. Of Sabu MC’ing when I asked him for Kairali. Or when he was on Aimee’s podcast a few years ago. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family in this time of grief. May God’s grace and mercy cover all of Sabu’s friends and family.

Sebastian was a respected colleague and amazing team-mate, but also over the years became a friend.  I always admired Sebastian's ability to bring team-members up and put his own accomplishments to the side in order to let others shine.  He not only was an excellent infrastructure lawyer but also gave his time to Pro Bono and other volunteer causes in the department, including setting up the first Pro Bono opportunity in the Seattle office.   He was also just a really funny and engaging person to be around, and even my kids remember him as they fell in love with Simba when they got to meet him in the office.  I'll miss our conversations about our immigrant upbringing, youth soccer and raising our kids Catholic.  Rest in peace, Sebastian.

Sebastian was a good friend of mine from law school; in fact, he was the first person from law school whom I met.  During law school, we got together for lunch and dinners in which we fiercely debated politics and other topics.  Even though we didn't always agree, I always admired Sebastian for his kind and thoughtful manner and willingness to engage.  One year, my husband Ravi and I threw a holiday party, and Sebastian brought Michelle to our home.  They had only recently started dating, and I thought at the time how well suited Michelle was for Sebastian.  We enjoyed attending their wedding and seeing how clearly happy they were with one another.  Post-law school, Sebastian and I stayed in close touch.   He and Michelle visited us in Boston and played so well with our son, and I remember thinking what a great father Sebastian would be one day.  Once Tristan was born, it was clear that Sebastian was a devoted father who was smitten with his son.  

I am heartbroken by Sebastian's unexpected passing, and send my love and condolences to Michelle, Tristan, Sebastian's parents, and all those who knew and loved him.  Rest in peace, little brother.

I worked with Sebastian at Miles.  At the time he summered with us I was in the recruitment department and spent time talking with him and also helped onboard him when he joined the firm as a first year associate.  What a great guy.  I remember we threw him a wedding shower - he was so happy and excited.  I am so very sorry to hear of his passing.  My heart goes out to his family.

Grateful for Sebastian's friendship and his abiding intelligence. He will be greatly missed. Please accept my sincere best wishes and prayers for the Kurian family and dear friends in the wake of his absence. Love.

Dear Rita and Bob, we have not met Michelle or  Sebastian, but were shocked to hear of Sebastian’s early demise. One can only imagine Michelle’s sorrow losing a beloved spouse. It must be awful for you two too. Our hearts go out to little Tristan, who will grow up without his wonderful father.  We pray for God’s strength to get you through this difficult time. We were shocked and extremely saddened to hear about the sudden passing of your beloved son, Sabu.

We met Sabu first during our visit to your house when he was 5 or 6 years old. I remember him as a happy child with an infectious smile. That radiant smile I still see in his Facebook photos.

My family and myself was truly shocked and heartbroken to hear about Sabu’s sudden passing. It’s so hard to believe he’s no longer with us.

I still remember the time he spent here in the UK the laughter, the stories, and the warmth he brought with him. Those memories are so special, and I’ll always hold them close. Sabu had a way of making people feel welcome and at ease, and that’s something I’ll never forget.

My heart goes out to his family  members during this incredibly difficult time. I know no words can ease the pain, but I hope you find strength in the love and support around you. Please know I’m here for you in any way you need.
