Sue Ann Sutherland

Sue was born in San Diego, CA to Harry and Dorothy Hopkinson on September 18, 1945. She went to Falls Church High School and graduated from the College of William & Mary with a Bachelors in Business. She later married William B. Sutherland.

Sue worked as a retail executive for the Hecht Company and later Macy’s for 35 years. She was a long-time member of the Country Club of Fairfax and an avid supporter of local animal welfare organizations.

Sue is preceded in death by her father, Harry Hopkinson, her mother, Dorothy Daly Hopkinson, and her husband, William B. Sutherland.

Sue is survived by her sister, Nan DeSorrento; nephews, Tonio DeSorrento (Amelia DeSorrento), Adriano DeSorrento, and Christiano DeSorrento (Victoria DeSorrento); and niece Kathryn Cody (Edward Cody). She is survived by grand nieces, Ava DeSorrento, Gigi DeSorrento, Margot DeSorrento, and Liliana DeSorrento and nephews, Ben DeSorrento, Emilio DeSorrento, Tiago DeSorrento and Luciano DeSorrento.
