Takouhie Melkessetian

Takouhie Reine Melkessetian of Reston, VA passed away peacefully on July 05, 2018 at her residence. Takouhie was born on December 15, 1938, daughter of Marie and Kevork Garmirian of Arlington, Va. She was a loving wife, compassionate mother, sister, and generous friend. She is preceded in death by her loving Husband of 53 years Noubar. She is survived by her sons; Haig, Ara Daughter; Sylvia brothers; Paul, Ado sisters, Berjouie (Bibi), Sonia; and grandsons, Marc Philippe Alexandre. She was an avid painter who was inspired by impressionism. She cherished weekly family lunches and spending time with her family. She loved music, played the piano, home gardening, flowers and nature. The funeral service will be held at Cathedral of St Matthew The Apostle at 1725 Rhode Island Ave, NW, Washington, D.C. on Friday, July 13 at 10:00 am. Burial to follow in Columbia Gardens Memorials 3411 Arlington Blvd, Arlington, VA 22201 The family will be gathering for a reception following at Maggiano’s in Tyson’s corner – 2001 International Drive, McLean, VA 22102.
