He is survived by his wife Susana D. Schefer; his two sons, Jorge Schefer (Tony), and Roberto Schefer (Doreen); He was the grandfather of two, Sharon Swann, and Teresa Schefer; and the great-grandfather of four; Jacob, Nathaniel, Alden, and Elizabeth Rose.
There will be a time of visitation from 5:00pm-8:00pm, Wednesday, August 26th at Murphy Funeral Home Falls Church. The Funeral Mass will be held 10:00am Thursday August 27th at Saint James Catholic Church. Interment will follow at National Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
