Todd Lewis Mathews

On Sunday, August 14, 2016, in Falls Church, Virginia. Beloved husband of Betsy C. Mathews for 6 years; father of LoriBeth Kackenmeister, April Mathews, Kayla Mathews and TJ Mathews; grandfather of Lanie, Madyson, Alexander and Emma; step-grandfather to Shae, Sophia, Hannah and Raelyn, and step-great grandfather to Ayden. Todd is survived by sisters Nancy Mathews Comerford of Ft. Wayne, Indiana, and Carol Mathews Kolesar, of Canton, Michigan. His brother, Richard Mathews, predeceased him.

Todd was born in Bedford, Indiana but grew up in Madison Heights, Michigan. Todd served as a sergeant in the U.S. Army stationed in Augsburg, Germany. After completing his service, Todd worked at Ft. Belvoir as a computer systems analyst for the Department of Defense until his retirement in 2015. He was a long-time resident of Woodbridge and Falls Church, VA.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, August 27, 2016, at St. Luke’s United Methodist Church, 7628 Leesburg Pike, Falls Church, VA at 11:00. A reception for family and friends will immediately follow the service in the Fellowship Hall at St. Luke's.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in his memory to The Wounded Warrior Project or The Salvation Army.
