Mr. Vinh Phat Tran passed away on September 27, 2019, in Potomac, MD. He is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Bach Yen Nguyen; his children, Jeremy (Tu) and Andrew (Chau); his siblings, Quan Tran, Thuy Tran (Andreas), Thu Tran (David), Thuy Tran (Jarmo), and Dat Tran (Carol); his nephews and niece, Sebastian and Constantin Waldschmidt, Sandy Katz, and Reilly Tran; and his many extended family members and friends.
Mr. Tran was born on March 15, 1955, in Binh Duong, Vietnam. In 1975, he and his family fled Vietnam for the United States hours before the fall of Saigon and settled in Columbus, OH, before moving to the Washington, DC area. He was a loving and caring son, husband, father, brother, and friend. Mr. Tran took great pride and pleasure in raising his two sons and taking care of his wife. He enjoyed cooking, eating, reading, playing tennis, and attending junior tennis tournaments to cheer on his son, niece, and nephew. Though he is missed by all who know him on this earth, we take comfort in knowing that Mr. Tran is now in a better place for his eternal life. He will be profoundly missed by his family and friends.
