William is predeceased by his parents, Thomas and Marcella; his sister Loretta and his brother Thomas.
William is survived by his three daughters; Linda Lindsay, Beverly Brooks and Mary Zemko; his son, William E. Tavenner, Jr; 11 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
William was an avis Nascar fan for over 50 years and a member of Plumbers Local #5 for over 60 years. He also was a member of the VFW, Catholic War Vets, Knights of Columbus and coached kawanis Falls Church Little League for over 20 years.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, May 21, 2015 at Murphy Funeral Home, Falls Church, Va from 4-6pm followed by a Funeral Service.
William’s family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Falls Church Kiwanis Little League.
