

Chang, Yong Suk entered life on March 25, 1945 in Songdong-ku, Seoul, South Korea, and was one of six children born to Chang, Chang Yong and Kwang, Chon Choe and was the granddaughter of Chang, Man Kil and Yi, Chom Yo. She loved life and remained very close to her family. Yong Suk met her Husband, Winston V. Coley, while he was serving in the U.S. Army in South Korea in 1981.
Faced with many challenges in life her greatest achievement was overcoming her fears. She fell in love and courageously left the country of the birth and family and flew alone to the United States to join her future husband. They were married in Washington, D.C. on June 6, 1982, a marriage that lasted 31 years. They had no children.
She moved with her husband to Smyrna Georgia and then to Annandale, Virginia while Winston was completing his service with the Army. She again moved with her husband to Okinawa, Japan, Seoul, Korea and Yokosuka, Japan while he pursued his career as an Engineer, finally settling in Falls Church, Virginia where she spent the remainder of her life. They were later joined by her beloved cat, Cleo. She was a faithful a member of the Full Gospel First Church of Washington. When she became ill many years ago she continued to keep her faith. On January 22, 2014 she passed into the loving arms of our God surrounded by her Family and Friends.
Yong Suk was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Chang, Yong Sik and Chang, Yong Kun and her sister, Chang Yong Ae and her Special God Mother Mrs. Lenore Gift. She is survived by her husband, brother, Chang Yong Chul of Jecheon (Korea), sisters Chang, Yong Hui (Ansong, Korea) and Chang, Yong Ok (Busan, Korea), her in-laws, Robert & Anna Coley (Washington, DC); R. Bernard & Denise Coley Sr. (Palo Alto, California), Gerald Coley (Redondo Beach, California), nephews, Robert B. Coley Jr., William A. R. Coley, Myung Pil Chang, Ken Ho Byun and nieces, Elena Coley, Yu Na Chang, Irene Kim, Myung Ae Chang. She will truly be missed by all of her Family and Friends.
