Frank Mastromauro

Mastromauro, Frank, 91, of Plainview, passed away February 22, 2023. Reunited in heaven with his beloved wife, Mary. Loving father of Angela Palumbo (Joseph) and Gina Pizzuto (Anthony). Cherished grandfather of Joseph Palumbo, Brianna Pizzuto, Thomas Pizzuto, and great-grandfather of Joey Palumbo and Nina Palumbo. Dear brother of Dino, Maria, the late Anna, and the late Pina. Frank is also survived by his dedicated aide of over four years, Sharon Hochoy. Longtime employee for Alitalia Airlines at John F. Kennedy Airport. Frank's family was very important to him and he cherished every moment spent with them. He was a devout Catholic and very proud of his Italian heritage. Frank was friendly to everyone and enjoyed connecting with people. He enjoyed wood working, bowling, dancing, listening to Italian music, watching Italian television and watching soccer. Frank was a passionate gardener, growing tomato's, string beans and figs. He loved to eat broccoli rabe, so much so that he would buy it by the bushel. Throughout the years he participated in the Bethpage Senior Community Center, the Quarantine Club and the Knights of Columbus. The family will receive visitors Friday, February 24th, 4-8 pm at Arthur F. White Funeral Home, Inc., 234 Broadway, Bethpage. Funeral Mass Saturday, February 25th, 10 am at St. Martin of Tours RC Church. Interment following at St. Michael's Cemetery, Astoria.
