Marilyn was a woman totally devoted to her family, her religion and, of course - her Ray.  Having raised her family, she turned her energy and wisdom to help people struggling financially or emotionally as a member of the St. Vincent de Paul Society.   Though small of stature and soft-spoken, Marilyn left this  earth a much better place.  God bless you, Marilyn.     Mary McCaffery

Lenny and I were privileged to present many engaged Encounter weekends together for over 30 years. their stories showed the deep love they had for each other.  Marilyn always red her talks with such feeling.the couples on the weekend were in awe of them as were we.  Getting together at their house for community meetings was always a pleasure.  We were so blessed to have Ray and Marilyn in our lives.

Marilyn, Ray and I had a very special bond as they were married the day I was born.  Marilyn and I shared many years in our ministry of the St Vincent de Paul Conference of SMT.  She was always a pleasure to visit our neighbors in need with, as well as a  dear friend, sharing dinners with Marilyn and Ray at their home and mine, as well as meeting our beloved Hither Hills campground in MTK.  Condolences to the family and friends of Marilyn and Ray.    I pray that we may one day meet again in Heaven.

We loved sharing in our Engaged Encounter community with Marilyn & Ray.  Their home reflected their love and was always welcoming.  They were a true reflection of love in their marriage and their faith.

I have know. Mrs Walther and Mr walther since I was a child. She is a loving open faithful women.  Truly faithful in god. I admire the loving commited marriage the Walthers have.  They are a great inspiration.  Got bless you Marilyn and her faith in god will bring her to the lord.  My sympathy to entire Walther family and the grandchildren, great grandchildren.  She was always welcome and I feel honored to have been so welcomed in her home as a kid.

Marilyn has been a symbol of grace since we knew her. She and Ray were friends through St. Martin’s and Marriage Encounter. Her faith, hope and charity made us want to be better: better friends, better spouses, better parents, better people. Marilyn was unfailingly honest, and called her friends and family to be the same. 
It has been an honor and a privilege to know her and her family. 
Paradise awaits.

I was sad to hear of Aunt Marilyn’s passing. I used to love when our families got together – either in NY or CT. So many people and so much fun. With all the chaos and noise, I don’t remember Aunt Marilyn ever raising her voice. She was always this calm presence. My heart goes out to my cousins, I know how hard it is to lose your mom. Uncle Ray, my thoughts and prayers are with you. Love, Jane

Just spoke to my Uncle Ray. Their love burned bright for 68 years & Marilyn was a person of true beauty & grace who loved life & shared that love with others. With 9 kids & a slew of grandchildren & great grandchildren a nomination for sainthood would be appropriate. Rest east Marilyn - I hope I can have the love in my life that you had in yours. So many memories of a dear friend and her whole family. I will miss you. My prayers for you Ray and the family. When I think of you Marilyn I think of your gentleness, kindness and faith. You and Ray are one of the rocks of St.Martin’s. 
For Joe and I we remember the Christmas’s when the whole family would come over and we would celebrate together. The best of times. We love you and will miss you!

Both Marilyn and Ray have always held a special place in my heart as well as Denise’s.  We always love spending time with them and have always felt loved and accepted by them. We’ve shared lots of laughs over the many years as well as special times. Condolences to all the Walther’s … all of whom are our very close friends for many years. We care about each of you deeply and will always be here to lend a hand. Rest in Peace, Marilyn , you are loved by many!

I remember Marilyn as a super mom- the house we would all go to play.  Always kind and loving to us all. Welcome to heaven.

I cherish my memories of our Engaged Encounters weekends together and the time we spent I the EE community with Marilyn & Ray. 
I trust she will give Maryann a big hug when she meets her in heaven above.
