Miller, Mary Jane, 89, longtime resident of Farmingdale passed away May 20, 2024. Reunited in Heaven with her beloved husband, Robert and cherished son, Kevin. Loving mother of Kerry Kamel and Brian (Jeanne). Adored grandmother of Allison and Rachel. Dear sister of Florence Vornolli and Richard Synder, predeceased by Patricia, Michael, James and Lori. Treasured aunt of many nieces and nephews. Mary Jane was loving, kind, modest, detail oriented, supportive, independent, strong-willed and had an amazing laugh. She was a proud member of the Red Hatters and a longtime volunteer for the Airpower Museum. She loved to plan, whether it was a simple get together or an event at the Airpower Museum, you could count on her to have all the details ironed out to perfection. Mary Jane had a meticulous memory and was able to remember the smallest of details, giving her the unofficial role as the family record keeper. If you needed to know who someone in the family was, you knew who to ask, although you may have to hear a lot of details before getting your answer. She was an avid reader and an amazing quilter, making many beautiful quilts for family and friends. Mary Jane was obsessed with giraffes; anything with a giraffe on it, she had to have it. She was infamous for her legendary chocolate chip cookies, zucchini bread and chocolate matzo. Mary Jane will be forever missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. The family will receive visitors Thursday, May 23rd, 2-4 and 7-9 pm at Arthur F. White Funeral Home, Inc., 315 Conklin Street, Farmingdale. Funeral Mass Friday, May 24th, 11 am at St. Kilian RC Church. Interment following at St. Charles Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Mary Jane’s memory to the American Airpower Museum; americanairpowermuseum.com or St. Kilian Outreach; 485 Conklin Street, Farmingdale, New York 11735.
