Raymond J. Froehlich

Froehlich, Raymond Jacob, 96, died peacefully in his sleep on March 4th, 2022. He was born on August 3, 1925 in Bethpage NY.  He was devoted to the love of his life, the late Dorothy (Kunzig) Froehlich. Ray and Dottie were married for 65 years until her death in 2014. A lifelong Bethpage resident, Ray grew up on a farm in what was called Central Park at the time. He was a farmer as a young man before he began at Grumman Aerospace where he worked for 39 years, retiring in 1990. He continued his farming roots by gardening throughout the years. He loved baseball, especially the New York Yankees.  He will be remembered for his loyalty, sense of humor, and excellent storytelling. Father of Raymond B (Theresa) and Travis. Grandfather of Greg (Carolyn) and Beth. Great grandfather of Kaitlyn, Katie, Amanda, Tammy, and Liam and great-great grandfather of Brexley. Brother to the late Addie Noto and Jack Froehlich. Visitation will be Thursday, March 10, 2022 from 6:00-9:00pm at Arthur F White Funeral Home in Bethpage. Mass will be held Friday March 11, 2022  at 9:30 at St. William the Abbot RC Church, Seaford, NY. Interment will be at St. Charles Cemetery, Farmingdale, NY. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to World Central Kitchen. WCK is a non-profit organization founded by Chef Jose Andres that provides meals to people in disaster areas.
