Rita Dalton

Dalton, Rita, longtime Farmingdale resident, recently of Lake Grove passed away on October 20, 2022 at the age of 90. Reunited in Heaven with her beloved husband of 50 years, John and her cherished son Thomas. Loving mother of Margaret Phelan (Patrick), Bernadette Dalton, Jacqueline Kollar Covello (Thomas) and Tara Wagner (Brian). Adored grandmother of Lisa Aylward (Larry), Krystal Zarrillo (Steven), Nicole, Brandon and Hailey and great-grandmother of Ashton and Lewis. Dear sister of Bridie and Berna and predeceased by Mary, Angela, Kathleen, John, Thomsie, Colum and Eamon. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends. Rita's family was the light of her life. She loved being a grandmother and spending time with her grandchildren. Rita was always happy and had a great sense of humor but she was also strong willed and sassy. She loved to drink Lipton Tea, she took it black and always in a nice china cup. She also loved bright colors, going to Atlantic City, and always wanted to win the lottery. The family will receive visitors Sunday, October 23rd, 2-4 and 7-9 pm at Arthur F. White Funeral Home, Inc., 315 Conklin Street, Farmingdale. Funeral Mass Monday, October 24th, 11 am at St. Kilian RC Church. Interment following at St. Charles Cemetery.
