Lonnie D. Christian Sr.

LONNIE D. CHRISTIAN SR., 83, of Fayetteville passed away Tuesday, May 19, 2015 at Montgomery General Hospital. Born on August 5, 1931 at Panther, he was the son of the late Tom and Flossie Mounts Christian. Mr. Christian was a member of Gatewood Church of God. He was a retired WV State Mine Inspector. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. In his spare time, he enjoyed wood working and fishing. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughters, Sheila Christian and Judy Christian. Left to cherish many wonderful memories include his wife, Dovie Christian; son, Lonnie (Mary) Christian, Jr.; daughters, Jeanette (Lawrence) Young and Debbie (Manuel) Napier; sisters, Clemmie Taylor and Louise Chaffins; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 1 PM, Friday, May 22, 2015 at Dodd-Payne-Hess Funeral Home, Fayetteville. Burial will follow at Kanawha Valley Memorial Gardens, Glasgow, WV. Friends may gather with the family from 12pm to 1pm Friday, May 22, 2015 at Dodd Payne Hess Funeral Home.
