

Adolfo Esteban Nuñez, 72, of Palm Coast, Florida passed away on June 15, 2022 at AdventHealth Daytona Beach. He was born on August 3, 1949, in Santiago, Dominican Republic to his late parents, Luis Maria Nuñez and Anadina Rodriguez. In 1965, Adolfo emigrated to the United States settling in the Bronx, New York. He worked for over 20 years at the Downtown Athletic Club as a chef and then went on to work for another 20 years as a construction worker in New York City. At the age of 62, he decided it was time to retire. In 2019, he moved to Palm Coast, Florida to be with his daughter and her family. Adolfo enjoyed working outside and was a gifted landscaper transforming yards, planting beautiful flowers, shrubs and fruit trees. He was also a very talented cook; Italian and seafood were his specialties. He was especially known for his made from scratch sauces. His greatest love was of his family. Adolfo is survived by his daughter, Maricella Nuñez and her husband, David; siblings, Miguel Nuñez, Ana Beatriz Nuñez, and Miguelina Nuñez; significant other, Isabel Sanchez; stepdaughters, Krystal, Isel, and Isol; grandchildren, Rosie, Lucas, and Juel; and many more loving nieces, nephews, relatives and wonderful friends.

Nació el 3 de agosto de 1949 en Santiago, República Dominicana, hijo de sus difuntos padres, Luis María Núñez y Anadina Rodríguez. En 1965, Adolfo emigró a los Estados Unidos estableciéndose en el Bronx, Nueva York. Trabajó durante más de 20 años en el Downtown Athletic Club como chef y luego pasó a trabajar por otros 20 años trabajando en construcción en la ciudad de Nueva York.
