

Alan Grossman, 87, of Palm Coast, Florida, entered into rest October 17, 2024 with his family by his side. Alan was born to Louis and Ida Grossman in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on August 23, 1937. Alan was a devoted husband, loving father, cherished grandfather, and dear friend, who filled the lives of those around him with joy and laughter.
Alan was married to his beloved wife Barbara for 41 wonderful years. He made family the center of his universe. Together with Barbara, they created countless memories from family gatherings to adventurous trips. Alan took great pride in his boat, Sea Grapes, starting his adventures in 1992. He entered the Palm Coast Boat Parade and won 5th place in 1996. He was Commodore in both the Anchor Boat Club and Palm Coast Cruisers in 2007. Alan and Barbara explored many destinations like West Coast of Florida, Charleston, South Carolina, and the Bahamas.
A man of many interests, Alan loved to travel, whether it was on cruise ships or on land. He was an avid golfer and tennis player, enjoying every moment spent on the course or the court. His love for sports extended to his Philadelphia teams; he was a die-hard fan of the Eagles, Phillies, Flyers, and 76ers, sharing his enthusiasm and camaraderie with family and friends during every game. He also had an unwavering love for his dogs, who brought him joy and companionship throughout his life.
Alan’s warm spirit, kindness, and infectious laughter made him a beloved figure in his community. He had a knack for bringing people together, whether at family gatherings or community events. His generosity and love for life will be sorely missed by all who knew him.
Alan is predeceased by his brother Jerry Grossman and his son Christopher Leeman.
Alan is survived by his loving wife, Barbara Grossman, his grandchildren, Parker Leeman and Tanner Leeman of Gainesville, Georgia, and his brother-in-law, John Ziegler with wife Brenda of Granbury, Texas. He is further survived by his nephews, Cory Ziegler with wife Emma of Belton, Texas, Ryan Ziegler of Houston, Texas, Robert Grossman with wife Sandy of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and Luis Grossman with wife Pam of Swedesboro, New Jersey, and his great nephews, Oliver, Henry, Stanley and Alek and many other family and friends who hold him dear to their hearts.
There will be a Memorial Gathering at Craig-Flagler Palms Funeral Home on Saturday, November 16, 2024 from 11am to 12pm with a Memorial Service at 12pm and Inurnment to follow.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Tunnel To Towers, St Jude Children's Research Hospital, Wounded Warrior Project or SMART (Saving Missing Animals Response Team).
