Alice Patricia Little Green was born in Hartford, Connecticut during a hurricane. She grew up and lived in Glastonbury, Connecticut. Later in life, she and her late husband Donald Green moved to Palm Coast, Florida to be near Don’s children from a previous marriage.
Alice passed away on April 2, 2026, from pneumonia.
She is survived by her daughter, Kathleen P. Clement; her favorite son-in-law, James N. Clement; grandsons Randall J. Burgess and Matthew Means; and granddaughters Catherine Burgess and Christy Stephenson.
Alice was a strong and brave woman who raised her daughter alone. She worked as an operator at the phone company for 25 years. She loved to travel and shop, which she affectionately called “retail therapy.” She cherished the friends she made at the Widows and Widowers Club. Alice also loved her birds — her cockatiel Chi Chi and her African Grey Parrot Austin. Austin had a special nightly ritual of saying “Go to bed, darling” every evening before Mom went to bed.
Her family in Texas will have a tea party in her memory where they will share their loving memories of Alice Green.
