CIESLA, BARBARA, A. A funeral Mass celebrating the life of Barbara A. Ciesla, 72, of Flagler Beach, will be held on September 16 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 89 St. Mary’s Place, Korona, FL. Burial will take place in Resurrection Cemetery, Chicago, IL. Family and friends may call and pay their respects on Friday, September 15 from 4 to 8 p.m. Craig Flagler Palms Funeral Home, 511 Old Kings Road S., Flagler Beach. Miss Ciesla, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, September 6, 2017. She was born in Chicago on October 2, 1944, daughter of the late Florian and Dolores Ciesla. Barbara had a distinguished career as a marketing research professional and director at The Gillette Company, Boston, Massachusetts and The Coca-Cola Company, Atlanta, Georgia. Barbara enjoyed working with and was highly regarded by all who worked with her. After retiring to this area in 2003, Barbara served as secretary of her community’s homeowners’ association. Outside of her career, Barbara found pleasure in extensive traveling with her dear friend of many years, Jerry Payne. Her other interests included classic movies, attending concerts and plays, reading, fine dining, and pampering her beloved pets. Preceding her in death was her brother, Thomas Ciesla in 2006. Surviving is her sister, Monica Ciesla. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Florida Hospital Flagler Foundation, 60 Memorial Parkway, Palm Coast, FL 32164.
