Born on October 26, 1949, to the late Barnett and Jimmie Douglas, Beverly graduated from Palatka High School in 1967 and, just days later, married her childhood sweetheart, Jack Logan. Together, they built a warm and loving home in Flagler County, raising their children with devotion and joy.
Beverly was known for her generous heart, her deep love for family and friends, and her unwavering support of her children’s lives and interests. She never missed a game—cheering proudly from the stands at baseball, basketball, and football events—and was a loyal fan of Florida Gators football. She even coached an all-girl T-ball team when her children were young, embracing every opportunity to be involved and encouraging.
Professionally, Beverly dedicated over 25 years of service as a secretary in the Flagler County School System, where she was respected for her dedication and kindness. She also had a gift for words and a deep connection to her community, reflected in the "What’s Happening Now" column she penned for the News-Journal for several years.
Creative and playful by nature, Beverly enjoyed painting ceramics, playing cards and Yahtzee, and spending time with her loved ones over puzzles and board games. Her laughter, quick wit, and love for a really good plate of fried chicken brought comfort and smiles to all who knew her.
She will be lovingly remembered as a devoted wife, an incredible mother, and a proud grandmother. Beverly was cherished by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 52 years, Jack Logan, in 2019; and her brothers, Robert and Arthur.
She is survived by her children: twin sons, Deron Logan (Tammy) and Dan Logan (Tricia), and daughter Kimberly Mistie (Mark); her cherished grandchildren: Kiah, Luke, Lily, Nicholas, Kaylee, and Megan; her sisters, Bobbie and Sue; and many other loving relatives and dear friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Beverly’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Association. She will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband at Espanola Cemetery.
