Born in White Plains, New York, Brian was the beloved son of Thomas and Mary Periano McNulty. He was raised in Hawthorne and graduated from Pleasantville High School. Shortly after, he married the love of his life, Cornelia Burriesci, on January 18, 1958—a bond that endured over 67 beautiful years.
Brian led a life defined by hard work, service, and devotion to his family. His early career saw him as a milkman and school bus driver before he became a dedicated driver for Burke Fuel. In 1996, he retired and relocated to Palm Coast, embracing a well-earned season of rest and enjoyment.
A lifelong member of the Somers and Hawthorne Volunteer Fire Department’s and an Honorary Lifetime Member of the Elks, Brian found deep fulfillment in community service. He had a zest for life and a passion for travel, particularly cruising the world’s oceans. At home, he was happiest tending to his lawn and orange trees, casting a line to fish, and cheering for his favorite teams—the New York Giants and the Boston Celtics.
He leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter. In addition to his wife Cornelia, he is survived by his three children: Tom (Judy) McNulty, Brian (fiancée Kris) McNulty, and Marianne Viola; eight grandchildren: T.J., Andrew, Michael, Maggie, Mekenzie, Matthew, Annamarie, and Danielle, his two sisters, Maureen Wetzel and Michelle Fraioli; and seven great grandchildren.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Saturday, May 24th, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at Craig-Flagler Palms Funeral Home, 511 Old Kings Road South in Flagler Beach.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests memorial contributions in Brian’s name to the Dementia Society of America: www.dementiasociety.org/donate.
