A Private Funeral Mass for Charles J. Modica 89 of Palm Coast will be celebrated for Family and Friends at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church. Mr. Modica, a resident of Palm Coast for the past 20 years passed away on Saturday, May 5, 2018 in Stuart F. Meyer Hospice House, Palm Coast. He was born in Paterson NJ on March 12, 1929 a son of the late Vincenzo and Concetta (Alfano) Modica. He was a retired teamster in the trucking industry, a veteran serving in the US Army, a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church and the Italian American Club in Palm Coast. An avid golfer, Mr. Modica was a member of the Men's Golf League and enjoyed watching all sports. He was preceded in death by his wife of 58 Years, Rita on February 27, 2013. Surviving are one son, Vincent of Lake Mary, one daughter Daria Troina of Palm Coast, four grandchildren and six great grandchildren, a sister, Jean Berckart of Georgetown TX and his good friend, Maria Greco of Palm Coast. The family suggests memorial contributions to the Stuart F. Meyer Hospice House 150 Memorial Medical Parkway, Palm Coast FL 32137.
