Charlotte B. Broyhill

Charlotte Nina Bentley Broyhill, 93, of Palm Coast, FL/Lenoir, NC, went to be with the Lord on October 17, 2017. She was born in Caldwell County, NC on November 4, 1923, to Emmett Samuel and Effie Kay Bentley. She will be laid to rest in N. Carolina beside the love of her life, husband, James Burl Broyhill and near her cherished son, Marvin Edward Broyhill who both preceded her in death. She was known by all, as either Mama, Mama Toby, Mrs. Charlotte or Mama Charlotte. She dedicated her life to her family and those in need. She enjoyed Dancing, quilting, embroidering, puzzles, reading and spending time with her family and friends. She is survived by daughters, Karen Long of Palm Coast, FL. and Wanda Bryant of Granite Falls, NC; son, Bruce Broyhill of Granite Falls, NC; 6 grandchildren, Mike (Tara) Broyhill, Jeff Broyhill, Brian Wear, Anissa Hayes and Bobby Petrea all of NC and James Wear of TN and 4 great-grandchildren, Connor and Charlotte Broyhill and Tyler and Amber Hayes. She also leaves behind her loving, caring family of CNA’s and nurses at Flagler Health and Rehab Center of Bunnell, FL, where she spent the last years of her life. They were her “darlins” and “sweet peas”. She loved each and every one of them, as they loved her. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Craig-Flagler Palms Funeral Home, Flagler Beach and Geer-McElveen FH of Lenoir, NC.
