

David "Dave" Earl Jennings, 80, of Palm Coast, Florida, who peacefully departed this life on February 25, 2024, at Advent Health Palm Coast Parkway. He was born on May 7, 1943, in Meadville, Pennsylvania, to the late Earl Arnold and Dorothy Mae Jennings.
Dave's journey began in Meadville, where he graduated from Meadville Area High School. He spent time on the railroads before some technical education led him to a lifetime as a machinist. Throughout his career, Dave exemplified dedication and skill as a machinist, shaping various industries with his craftsmanship. In 1980, he made the pivotal decision to relocate his family to the Palm Coast area, following Wittemann, his long time employer.
Dave worked on everything from brewery equipment to precision airplane parts. He eventually spent many years with the Lyons Machine Tool Company Inc., retiring from there in 2023. Dave left behind a legacy of hard work and commitment. He was a true master and mentor of his craft, known to share his experience and give advice with kindness and humor.
Beyond his professional pursuits, he approached every interest and hobby with wholehearted dedication, intensity, and joy, whether it was casting a line while fishing, tinkering under the hood of cars, exploring computers and technology, or capturing moments of life through the lens of his camera.
Dave's spirit of adventure and curiosity was matched only by his love and devotion to his family. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Janet, in 2022. Dave leaves behind cherished memories in the hearts of his children: Sandra Jennings and her partner, Ray Calfee; David Wallace Jennings; Jill and her husband, Alex Snipes; step-children: Eric and his wife, Sarah Geyer; Gretchen and her husband, Scott Griffin; Susannah Geyer and her partner, Fred Lowery; grandchildren: Corey and his wife, Loren, Kevin Finch; step-grandchildren: Vance Geyer, Cole Geyer,
Natalie, and Noah Griffin; his brother, Daniel Jennings; and sister, Debie O'Stricker.
Dave's legacy is not only in the memories he leaves behind but also in the lives he touched and the love he shared. He will be fondly remembered for his unwavering dedication, his zest for life, and the profound impact he made on those fortunate enough to have known him.
In honoring Dave's memory, let us celebrate a life well-lived, filled with love, laughter, and cherished moments that will forever echo in our hearts.
A church visitation for David will be held Thursday, February 29, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at St Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 4600 Belle Terre Parkway, Palm Coast, Florida 32164, followed by a funeral mass at 11:00 AM.
