Eugene Price

Eugene was educated in Saginaw, Michigan Public School System where he played football and participated in track and field. He furthered his education at Ferris State University where he majored in accounting. Eugene pursued his career with General Motors where he worked in the various accounting departments for 30 years. He was very active with the General Motors Junior Achievement Group and the Boy Scouts of America as a counselor. In his earlier life in the scouts he reached the rank of Eagle Scout. Eugene was also very active as a past Worship Master of H. York Harris Lodge #32 F.& AM, P.H.A. in Saginaw, Michigan.

Eugene was an active member of First AME Church for the past 25 years. He was a member and President of the F.A.M.E. Male Chorus, participated in the Men’s Day Choir, the Mighty Men of First A.M.E. and served on the Calendar Committee and was a Trustee before his illness. He also participated many years with “Mo Town and Mo Show".

On November 21, 1964 he married Joanne M. Jones and from this loving union, two beautiful children were born, Carla D. Price and Steven E. Price.

Eugene was preceded in death by his parents, David and Ruth Price, his grandmother, Rose Bigby and his two brothers, David L. Price and Edward Price.

Eugene is survived by his wife of 60 years, Joanne M. Price; daughter, Carla D. Price; son, Steven E. Price; nephew, Erica A. Jones and Godson, Jeffery L. Hillard. He also leaves 9 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and many wonderful friends.
