

Felix Baez Sr., 85 years old, of Palm Coast, Florida, passed away on July 20, 2017. He was born in Guayanilla, Puerto Rico, to the late Higinio and Carmen Baez. As a young man he served in the United States Army in the artillery department. Upon his honorable discharge from the service, he became a talented carpenter and specialized in cabinetry. Known to his family as “Papi Felix”, he will be remembered for his love of dancing to Spanish music, playing the harmonica and enjoying family vacations. He was also known for his ability to make his family laugh, especially by mimicking "animal sounds”. Felix was preceded in death by his first wife and mother of his children (5), Daisy O. Baez in 2001; son Felix Baez Jr., and brother, Higinio Baez Jr. Survivors include his wife of the last 16 years, Icxia D. Baez; his children, Maria M. Lindo, Louisa I. Baez, Robert L. Baez Sr. and his wife Shirley, Daisy Yvette Ken (her hebrew name being Keshet Cheynanit) and her husband Eliezer S., sisters, Carmen Luz Zengotita, Norma Rodriguez and her husband José (Joe) A., his grandchildren, Tanya L. Russell and her husband Corey, Nicole Murphy, Melissa E. Jones and her husband Andrew, Celeste Johnson, Eric G. Lindo and his wife Tiffany, Robert L. Baez Jr., Hope Lindo, Nina Lindo, Dana C. Baez, Naomi C. Lindo, Stephen Baez, Ruth A. Lindo, Grace M. Lindo, Miriam Bracha Ken, Talyah Tehila Ken, Tamesena Tinsley and William Tinsley; 34 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be celebrated on Monday, July 24, 2017, at 2:00 PM at Florida National Cemetery with Military Honors. Arrangements are in the care and trust of Craig-Flagler Palms Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens.
