

Florence McDaniel, 99, of Palm Coast, Florida, passed away peacefully on September 14, 2024, at Tuscan Gardens. Born on May 13, 1925, in Camden, Arkansas, she was the daughter of the late Dan and Evelyn Roberts. Florence graduated from Camden High School in 1942 and married the love of her life, E.V. McDaniel, in 1943.
Florence dedicated five years of her life to serving as the secretary for Waller Baptist Church in Bossier City, Louisiana. In 2003, she and E.V. relocated to Palm Coast to be closer to their son, cherishing their later years together in a new setting. A passionate LSU football fan, Florence's love for sports, particularly football, was well known among her family and friends. She also found joy in music and was a cherished member of "The Kitchen Band" at Ormond in the Pines.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, E.V. McDaniel, on April 29, 2008. Florence is survived by her son, Charles McDaniel, and his wife Christine; grandsons, Michael McDaniel and his wife Kimberly, and Robert McDaniel and his wife Rebecca; great-grandchildren, Michael Wade McDaniel, II , Logan Scott McDaniel, Liam Christopher McDaniel, Gavin Lee McDaniel, and Lydia Lee McDaniel; as well as numerous loving relatives and wonderful friends. Florence's warmth, enthusiasm, and love for life will be remembered fondly by all who knew her.
A viewing for Florence will be held Thursday, September 19, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Craig Flagler Palms Funeral Home, 511 Old Kings Road South, Flagler Beach, Florida 32136, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM. Burial to follow immediately after the service at Flagler Memorial Gardens.
