Francis Robert Magee Jr., 75, of Palm Coast, FL. passed away on September 26, 2021 at his home with his loving wife at his side. He was born on January 26, 1946 in Newport, Rhode Island to the late Francis Robert and Anne Louise Magee. As a young man he served in the United States Army Reserve as a Captain and Company Commander. Once he was honorably discharged from the service he went on to continue his studies. Frank graduated from Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts where he earned his Undergraduate, Master’s and Doctorate Degrees. He spent his entire working career as an Electrical Engineer at AT&T Bell Labs and Lucent Technologies. Frank held several patents that he secured during his career. He was a member of numerous professional societies where he achieved the honor of being named a Fellow for the IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers). Frank’s greatest joy was traveling the world with the love of his life, Nancy. He was an avid reader, enjoyed photography and golf. Frank’s grandfather instilled in him the love of stamp and coin collecting. He will always be respected for his professionalism, ability for problem solving and being a great listener. Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Nancy; sister, Barbara Berube; former brother-in-law, Harold Berube; sister, Mary Magee; brother, Dr. Thomas Magee and his wife Christina Magee and their children, Alison and Erin Magee; nephew, Michael and his wife Janelle Berube and their children, Nathan & Chloe; niece, Melissa Berube and her husband, William Machon and wonderful friends.
