

Join us on Wednesday January 5, 2022 as we gather to celebrate the life of Frank G. Goodman. Frank passed away December 28, 2021 at the age of 78 peacefully at home in Palm Coast Florida.
Frank is survived by his beloved wife Johanna who he lovingly cared for,his three daughters, Lisa(Jon)Sjonvall , Lynnann(Barbara, Stephen) Voorhees, Laurean (William-decd.)Kile, His six grandchildren, Amber, Kailyn, Stephen Jr, Evign, Faith and Eyan and his 3 great grandchildren, Vinny, Taedyn and Aidalyn, his sister, Dorothy(Edward-decd.)Kardell, nephews Jeffrey, Craig, and niece Stacy.
Frank grew up in the Bronx the son of Frank C. and Lillian Goodman(decd.). Frank began his successful career in 1966 as an apprentice Journeyman Machinist with R. Hoe & Co, Inc. He was then hired by the New York Times as a machinist. He received numerous awards and recognitions for his ideas and inventions at the New York Times. He retired as Foreman from the New York Times in 2005. Frank was a 50 year veteran of The Grand Lodge of the International Association of Machinist and Aerospace Workers. He served on many board positions of Lodge No. 434 including Union President. He is fondly remembered by the union and the lifelong coworkers that he impacted.
Frank loved to travel with his wife. His favorite place to take Joanne was St. Martin in the Caribbean. Frank loved to spend evenings experiencing a great meal, followed by an espresso with Sambuca laughing with friends who fondly called him Wompo. He loved hunting season with the boys on his 31 acres in the Catskill mountains in Grand Gorge, NY. On the property “On Top Of Blueberry Hill”.He was thrilled and happy just driving his tractor and inviting friends for weekends. Frank just loved to tinker in the garage. He recently began working with wood again making wine racks for his friends and family.
Frank G.Goodman embodied a spirit of generosity and kindness, always the first to grab the check at the table, always giving more and doing more for others than himself. He made sure his family was well taken care of, He loved us all and left a legacy of what it means to be a…
