Frank Leonardo

Frank Leonardo 58, of Ormond Beach, Florida, passed away on December 23, 2024, surrounded by his family. He was born on October 19, 1966, to Henry and Venus Leonardo in Plainview, New York. In July of 1975, the family moved to Flagler County, where Frank grew up and became a proud graduate of Flagler Palm Coast High School.

He started his career in the Hospitality Industry, in the Food and Beverage departments, starting at the Palm Coast Yacht Club in the early 80s. He ventured into the Mississippi Cruise Line Industry excelling to the position of Executive Officer.

He found his way home after the death of his father, landing an opportunity at the Plantation Bay Golf and Country Club. He worked there for close to 20 years, growing with the community and the expansion of the country clubs and their facilities.

Frank loved his job! He enjoyed making people happy. He loved to see people smile and enjoy their meals and festivities at the Clubs!

Frank made the tough decision to step down and take on his “new job” of “fighting his cancers”!

So many friends have reached out to Frank over recent years extending Love and Prayers. It all meant so much to Frank and his family. He was humbled by the love he received from so many.

Frank had such a beautiful smile and touched so many through his kindness and generosity.

Over the last few years Frank’s optimism has carried him through life challenges and his positive attitude pushed him and his family through so many tough times.

His resilience impressed so many. His ability to fight and conquer never ceased to amaze.

Frank will be missed by his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Henry Leonardo, who passed in 2005. He is survived by his loving mother, Venus Leonardo; his siblings, Laura Leonardo-Flynn joined by her husband Danny Flynn, Denise Leonardo, and Lisa Leonardo; his beloved nephew, Dylan Flynn; along with many other loving relatives and friends who will miss him dearly.

A Celebration of Life will be held on January 5th from 2-5PM at the Founders Club at Plantation Bay Country Club, 301 Plantation Bay Drive, Ormond Beach, FL 32174.
