Irene Dunn, age 94, of Flagler Beach, Florida passed away on Monday, October 23, 2023. Irene was born in New Bedford, Massachusetts. She was the eldest child of Remi Trahan and Albertina Nadeau. Irene was raised in Hartford, Connecticut and married her life-long sweetheart John “Buddy” Dunn. She lived the majority of her adult life with him in Windsor Connecticut. Irene and Buddy retired in Flagler Beach, Florida in 1999 where she remained until her death.
Survivors include her niece, Debra Thibodeau; grand-nephew, Kenneth Lundquist, Jr., of Connecticut, other nieces & nephews; her very best friend Bill Addonizio, and her friends Lisa Schwoch & Nick Maiorino of Flagler Beach. She is pre-deceased by her parents, and all of her brothers and sisters.
Irene was a Christian, and a member of the Saint Joseph Carmelite Monastery
in Bunnell, Florida, as well as an active member of the local senior center, and her community.
She was loved by many and will be desperately missed. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in her honor to the American Heart Association. A private service will be held
