Jim Migli

Jim Migli, 80, of Palm Coast, FL and Northville, NY, passed away on Wednesday, December 28, 2022. He was born in Stamford, NY, to the late Connie and Jenni Migli. Jim earned a B.S. and M.S. from SUNY Brockport in NY where he played soccer. He began his career at Orange County Community College as an Athletic Director and head men's and women's soccer coach. In 1976, he was named the National Junior College Athletic Association Soccer Coach of the Year, and in 1978, was honored by the NJCAA for his outstanding service to the game of soccer and to the NJCAA. He then became the Athletic Director at SUNY Maritime in the Bronx, NY in 1983. He loved working with the cadets, the professors, and the administration. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Theresa "TT" Migli; son, Scott (Rachel) Migli; daughter, Shannon (Kevin) Rabbitt; four grandchildren, 2nd LT Nicholas James Migli, Olivia Marie Migli, Colin Patrick Rabbitt; Liam James Rabbitt, sister; Barbara (Joel) Kaufman; brothers Frank (Harriet) Migli, and Jerry Migli and many loving relatives and wonderful friends. Jim loved playing golf year-round at Grand Haven with old friends from NY, as well as new friends he had met here. He loved boating and life on the Great Sacandaga Lake where he had a lake house for 25 years. His favorite pastimes were golfing, the lake, the Yankees, and being able to watch his four grandchildren participate in their athletic endeavors. A memorial Mass and burial will be held in NY at a later date. Jim had an impact on so many lives as evidence received by the family.
