
John Caccavale, 83, of Palm Coast, Florida, passed away peacefully at his home on March 4, 2026. He was born on February 18, 1943, in Brooklyn, New York, to the late Joseph and Philomena (Mastrocinque) Caccavale.
After graduating from high school, John enlisted in the United States Army, where he proudly served his country during the Korean War. Following his military service, he dedicated many years to civil service, working diligently until his retirement in 1981.
In the 1990s, John relocated to Florida, where he embraced the warm climate and the lifestyle he loved. He especially enjoyed riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle year-round and traveling the country in his motorhome.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Katherine Caccavale, in 2000; his son, Joseph Caccavale, in 1984; and his sister, Catherine.
John is survived by his loving wife of 23 years, Lucy “LuLu” Caccavale; his daughter, Angea Anest; his sons, John (Genice) Caccavale Jr. and James (Melissa) Caccavale; his stepsons, Dewey Gamble and Richard Gamble; and his stepdaughter, Debra (James) Metz. He is also survived by his cherished grandchildren, Joseph, Michael, Anthony, Mia, Isabella, Melody, and Ashley; great-grandchildren, Skylar, Aiden, and Domani; his siblings, Rosie, Nicky, and Frankie; along with many more loving relatives and wonderful friends who will miss him dearly.
John will be remembered for his devotion to his family, his love of the open road, and the many memories he created with those who knew and loved him.
Visitation will be held at Craig Flagler Palms Funeral Home, 511 Old Kings Road South, Flagler Beach, Florida 32136, on March 12, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
A future visitation will be held at Boyd Spencer Funeral Home in Babylon, New York followed by a burial with military honors at Calverton National Cemetery.
