With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our cherished Judith Lillian Spivey Dodgen on March 12, 2026 at home with her beloved granddaughter Joanie. Judith was born October 28, 1943. Deeply mourned by her sons Joey and Gary (Spud), her grandkids Joanie, Cole and Terry and great grandson Colson and her beloved dog Molly. Judy's love for Karaoke, Elvis and Patsy Cline took her to many events that allowed her to sing. She loved to sing. She loved to dress up in her finest western clothes, boots, her best makeup and all her gold jewelry. She loved to cook for family and she made a mean cat head biscuit to go with her chicken and dumplins. Everything she cooked was good. Her favorite past time was shopping, going to yard sales and spending money. She brought joy to everyone they met. She was a force to be reckoned with and if you met her once you would not have forgotten her. That beautiful smile and perfect hair was her signature.
Don't think of her as gone away
Her journey's just begun, Life holds so many facets This earth is only one.
Just think of her as resting
From the sorrows and the tears In a place of warmth and comfort
Where there are no days and years.
Think how she must be wishing
That we could know today
How nothing but our sadness
Can really pass away.
And think of her as living
In the hearts of those she/he touched
For nothing loved is ever lost And she/he was loved so much.
Visitation with be Wednesday March 12, from 1pm to 2:30 pm at Craig Flagler Palms Funeral Home located at 511 Old Kings Road South. Graveside service and procession will immediately follow visitation.
